DA.141 Handling complaints

 

Art. 31 (3) (b) Data Act (COM Proposal)

 

Member States shall ensure that the respective tasks and powers of the competent authorities designated pursuant to paragraph 1 of this Article are clearly defined and include:

(b) handling complaints arising from alleged violations of this Regulation, and investigating, to the extent appropriate, the subject matter of the complaint and informing the complainant of the progress and the outcome of the investigation within a reasonable period, in particular if further investigation or coordination with another competent authority is necessary;

 

[...]"

 

 

Art. 32 (2) Data Act (COM Proposal):

 

"The competent authority with which the complaint has been lodged shall inform the complainant of the progress of the proceedings and of the decision taken."
